Safe Silo Filling

Due to a number of accidents during silo filling the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) produced guidance notes to ensure safety during the filling of silos (guidance to prevent over-pressurisation of storage silos during the delivery of powders in the cement, concrete and quarrying industries).

In addition to the above guidance notes there is also a process note 03.01.04 and a customer site safety brochure for Bulk delivery sites, which is produced by the British Cement Association (BCA).
